Featuring – Bobbe Shore and First Call

https://bobbeshore.com/

Bobbe Shore majored in Vocal Performance/Education at The College of New Jersey. She has studied privately with respected New Jersey/New York vocal coach Robert Edwin. Her early career credits include varied musical theatre roles: (“Carousel”/Julie Jordan, “Gigi”/Gigi, “Promises, Promises”/Fran Kubelik, and a “Rocky Horror Picture Show” revue/Columbia), and solo bookings with piano and guitar. She performed with many specialty and variety bands until she formed her own group, “Bobbe Shore and First Call. She has penned many original compositions, writing both lyrics and music. As a result, she has performed her original music as an invited guest of the New Jersey State Special Olympics and the Department of HHS, Office of Disability, in DC.

Always challenging her range and willing to experiment musically, Bobbe has expanded her repertoire to include Jazz Standards, Swing and Blues, a direction toward which she’s always been drawn. Collaborations with many talented musicians led her to her current endeavor, performing the music of “The Great American Songbook” with her own group, “Bobbe Shore and First Call”. Her CD “For So Long”, is a collection of 12 Standards and two originals, including the title track).

Bookings include many top venues in the Metro area (Blues Alley, The Carlyle Club, Lansdowne Resort & Conference Center), including 2 “steady” bookings at “The Ritz Carlton Lobby Lounge” in Pentagon City, and also “Market Street Bar & Grill”, formerly in the Hyatt Regency at Reston Town Center. She has also performed at venues in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Capitalizing on her vocal versatility, her engaging stage presence and interpretive style, she and her group, “The Bobbe Shore Trio”, and “Bobbe Shore and First Call” (which can vary from Quartet to Quintet and larger), bring together many of the DMV’s finest Jazz musicians including pianists Wade Beach and Vince Evans, Eric Glaser on bass, and Tom Anderson on sax/clarinet/flute.

They collaborate to deliver a uniquely entertaining program of “The Great American Songbook” of Jazz Standards, Swing and Blues…and more! (Think: Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Sondheim, Mancini, the Gershwins, and Bacharach & David and then think: Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Buble, Diana Krall, & Norah Jones. The list goes on…

So please, sit back and relax, and most of all, we all hope that you ENJOY!
